Book
I’m one third into Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. And I have mixed feelings about it. Mostly, I’m into it. But it feels like such a commitment, you know?
I’ll keep reading. After all, it came highly recommended. And I can’t start my next book club book this early, anyway.

I’ve been neglecting you…
I’m grateful for a full-time job. Doing what I love, but being challenged by a new location, new description and a steep learning curve.

Singing in the rain...
Well, not really singing, but walking and reading. With my umbrella and bags and everything.
There’s nothing like walking in a warm rain, when you don’t really have to worry about whether or not you get wet.

Lazy Mondays...
It is very luxurious to not have to go to work until the afternoon. Especially on a Monday. One day, that will all change, so I’m enjoying it for now.

Clean and bright...
Sun streaming through my window and a warm spring breeze coming in through the open window to freshen up the whole house. These are two of my favourite things.
Morning sounds...
In the morning, with the windows open, I can sit on my couch and hear the birds singing. I never thought I’d be able to hear that ever again when I moved to the big city. Turns out, birds sing everywhere…

Delicious and good for you...
My favourite salad. (And I’m not trying to be lame here, folks. This salad really does make me happy.)
Greens (I like arugula but anything will do), grape tomatoes (heirloom if you can find them), asparagus with aioli dressing with basil and fresh chives.
Salad will never be boring again. You’re welcome.

Smarter and smiling...
A good book. And believe it or not, the one that inspired me today was Rob Lowe’s Stories I Only Tell My Friends.
Read it. It’s light and interesting. You won’t be disappointed.

Inspired by gratitude
I wasn’t really a follower of the guy who was inspired to create a list of 1000 awesome things. But I am inspired by his vision. He said in an interview that what started the “awesome” posts, was that his life was kind of shitty and that he knew he needed to make some changes.
Let me be the first to point out that my life isn’t shitty. But I am in a holding pattern (sort...
